JXB Launches Bike Lounge Construction at BNI City Station

PT. Jakarta Tourisindo/Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) has launched the construction of the Bike Lounge at BNI City Station, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta which is targeted to be completed in September 2022.

Hopefully, the Bicycle Lounge can be a place for cyclists and residents to socialize, exchange ideas, and enjoy their days

In this activity, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan symbolically led the launch ceremony which coincided with World Bicycle Day which is commemorated every June 3.

PT. Jakarta Tourisindo President Director Novita Dewi stated the Bike Lounge was a pilot project for cyclists to stop and interact in Jakarta. It would be equipped with a smart toilet, shower, locker, bicycle workshop, and SME Center.

"Hopefully, the Bicycle Lounge can be a place for cyclists and residents to socialize, exchange ideas, and enjoy their days," she conveyed, Friday (6/3).

Her side estimated the Bike Lounge construction to take about four months to complete. Once completed, the Bike Lounge will operate every day from morning to evening.

"The technical operation will be determined after the construction is complete. Apart from here (BNI City), it will be also built at PIK," she added.
